About Admiral Environmental
Since 1971, Admiral Environmental Services has successfully assisted industries go beyond environmental compliance with Federal, State, and Local environmental laws.
Admiral Water Services Co. started in 1971, by Richard “Dick” Dalbke. Dick had been working for the MWRD and was aware of the “new environmental regulations” coming for industrial dischargers. He and Scientific Control Laboratories’ owner, Si Gary, formed a partnership specializing in wastewater treatment and compliance with the District’s new ordinances, for pollution control and user charges (which was originally called the Surcharge Ordinance).
In the 1980s, new environmental laws led to Admiral expanding their services into these areas.
In 1990, Phil Twomey bought out Dick and Si, and continued expanding environmental services. When Phil retired in 2016, he sold his company and Admiral became part of Scientific Control Labs once again.
